ESD Floor Commissioning Test & Report
Your floor is not compliant until it is measured. We measure it, and hand you the document the auditor actually asks for.
What gets measured
- ANSI/ESD STM 7.1 — floor resistance: point-to-point, and point-to-groundable-point.
- ANSI/ESD STM 97.2 — body voltage generation, measured as the real system: person + footwear + floor.
The part most people get wrong
IEC 61340-5-1 and ANSI/ESD S20.20 set conditions for a system, not for a floor. A floor on its own cannot be certified to S20.20 — the footwear and the person are part of the measurement. Our report supports compliance with these standards; it does not pretend to replace your audit.
What you receive
- Measured values at every test point, with the points marked on a floor layout.
- The limits your specification requires, and whether each reading sits inside them.
- Instrument identification and its calibration reference.
- Where the problem sits if a reading fails — primer, earthing, or wearing coat.
- Measurement carried out through an independent testing agency using calibrated instruments.
- Report in your hands within 5–7 working days of measurement.
It does not have to be our floor
We test ESD floors laid by anyone. If a floor you already own is failing an audit, this is where to start.
