ESD Resistance Checker

Enter a measured floor resistance and see which category it falls in under IEC 61340-5-1 and ANSI/ESD S20.20 — conductive, dissipative, or outside the ESD-controlled range. The bands themselves are explained in ESD versus anti-static versus conductive flooring, and the systems built to meet them are the ZENSTAT range.

1Measured resistance
Enter the value from your site test report. Resistance to ground (Rg) is the value most ESD programmes work to.
2Measurement type
Measured per the methods referenced by ANSI/ESD S20.20, typically ANSI/ESD STM7.1 for flooring.

Category bands follow the conductive and dissipative ranges recognised under IEC 61340-5-1 and ANSI/ESD S20.20. A floor does not stand alone: installed performance also depends on grounding, footwear and the facility's ESD control programme, and compliance is established by the operator's audited test records rather than by a floor specification.

This checker tells you which band a reading falls into. It is not a test report. When you need a document an auditor will accept — Book an ESD Commissioning Test →
