Written Warranty
Every floor and every applied waterproofing system installed by POLYZEN is handed over with a written warranty document, issued along with the completion papers. This page sets out what that document says, so there is nothing left to interpret after the work is done. The exact period and scope for your project are stated in your own warranty document and in the accepted quotation.
How the warranty is issued
Survey On Record
The substrate, the moisture condition and the service environment are recorded at survey. What the floor has to withstand is written down before the system is selected.
Scope In Writing
The system, the build, the preparation method and anything excluded from scope are stated in the accepted quotation. Nothing that matters is left to memory.
Application Documented
Preparation, primer, build and cure are carried out by POLYZEN crews and recorded through the job.
Handover Documents
At handover you receive the completion documents together with the written warranty and the cleaning and use instructions the warranty depends on.
If Something Fails
You notify POLYZEN in writing when the problem is noticed. The area is inspected on site before anything is agreed.
Rectification
Where the failure falls inside the warranty, POLYZEN repairs or re-applies the affected area at its own cost.

Frequently asked questions
How long is a POLYZEN warranty?
Resin flooring systems carry 12 months from handover as standard, extendable to 24 months by written agreement. Applied waterproofing carries 5 years as standard, extendable to 7 years. The period that applies to your project is stated in your own warranty document.
What has to be true for the warranty to hold?
The floor is used and cleaned as set out in the handover instructions, the defect is notified in writing when it is noticed, payment has been completed as agreed, and no one else has coated or repaired the same area in the meantime.
What does POLYZEN actually do if a floor fails within the period?
The area is inspected on site first. Where the failure falls inside the warranty, POLYZEN repairs or re-applies that area at its own cost. The warranty covers the area, not consequential loss such as downtime.
Why is moisture from below usually excluded?
Vapour driving up through a slab lifts any coating, however well it is applied. Where a moisture barrier is part of the agreed scope it is covered. Where it was recommended at survey and left out of the order, it is not.
Does the warranty transfer if the premises change hands?
It is issued to the party named in the contract. Transfer can be agreed in writing before the change.
Is an AMC the same as a warranty?
No. A warranty covers failure of work POLYZEN carried out. A rate contract covers the running maintenance a floor needs in normal use. They run alongside each other. Annual Maintenance Contract
Want the warranty document before you order?
Ask for it with the quotation. The period, the scope and the exclusions are stated in writing before any work starts.
