OVERVIEW

Flooring for Hotels & Hospitality

In hospitality, the floor is both stage and workhorse. Lobbies, banquet halls and restaurants must deliver a signature look that impresses guests, while the same property runs a demanding commercial kitchen, busy guest corridors, wet pool decks and back-of-house service areas. POLYZEN engineers decorative, food-safe, durable and slip-safe systems for every space — front of house to back of house.

FAQ

Hospitality Flooring — FAQ

What is the best flooring for a hotel lobby?
Decorative metallic flooring (ZENDÉCOR Aura) and marble-effect flooring (ZENDÉCOR Veina) deliver a seamless signature finish that withstands heavy guest footfall while protecting the property's first impression.
What flooring is required for a hotel commercial kitchen?
Hotel kitchens use food-grade PU concrete (ZENPU Cretescreed) that resists thermal shock from hot-water washdown, organic acids and fats, while providing slip safety and supporting FSSAI and HACCP hygiene.
What flooring is used for pool decks and spa areas?
Pool and spa decks are delivered as a POLYZEN Applied System combining waterproofing with an anti-skid finish for safe barefoot, wet-area traffic. These wet areas are handled as an applied service rather than a single product.
Is the flooring durable for high guest footfall?
Yes. Decorative and epoxy systems are formulated to hold their finish under sustained guest traffic in lobbies, corridors and public areas. Wear performance is stated Per TDS.
Can decorative floors be installed without closing the hotel?
Yes. Work can be sequenced and phased zone-by-zone to keep the property operating, with preparation and curing windows planned around occupancy.
Does the flooring support hygiene and food-safety standards?
Yes. Kitchen and food-handling systems are engineered to support FSSAI and HACCP hygiene through seamless, non-shedding, cleanable surfaces. Certification of the property remains with the operator.
