Tank LiningIMMERSION · CHEMICAL-RESISTANT · SEAMLESS

A seamless internal lining system for tanks and vessels in constant contact with liquids. The interior is prepared and coated with a chemical-resistant, immersion-grade lining that contains the contents, blocks leaks and shields the tank wall from the chemical attack and corrosion that destroy unlined steel and concrete.

OVERVIEW

What is Industrial Tank Lining?

Industrial tank lining is the protective lining of the inside of tanks and vessels that hold liquids in constant contact — water, effluent, chemicals or process media. Unlike an external coating that sits in air, a lining is permanently immersed, so it must resist the specific stored media without softening, blistering or breaking down. The tank interior is prepared and built up with a seamless, chemical-resistant, immersion-grade lining that both contains the contents leak-free and shields the tank wall from chemical attack and corrosion. It is delivered as a POLYZEN Applied System, with the lining selected for the media stored.

THE POLYZEN SYSTEM

How the Lining Is Built

A lining is built to face immersion — the interior prepared, primed, then built into a seamless chemical-resistant skin and verified holiday-free. Tap any layer to see its role.

Cure & Holiday Test

Verified Continuous

The lining is cured to immersion service and checked for pinholes and discontinuities with a holiday (spark) test, confirming a continuous, leak-free film before the tank is returned to service. System values: Per TDS.

POLYZEN APPLIED SYSTEM

Delivered as a POLYZEN Applied System

This lining is delivered as a POLYZEN Applied System — surveyed, specified and applied turnkey by trained applicators using immersion-grade, chemical-resistant lining systems and verified by holiday testing. The lining chemistry and film thickness are selected per the stored media, temperature and duty.

04
WHY IT WORKS

Built for Permanent Immersion

A tank lining lives a harder life than any external coating — it is permanently immersed in the very media it has to resist, with no chance to dry out. The lining must be chemically matched to the contents, seamless so there is no leak path, and proven continuous before the tank is filled. POLYZEN starts from the stored media, builds the lining to the right thickness and holiday-tests it. The lining is matched to the contents. Performance is confirmed on the product TDS.

POLYZEN Values
Per Product TDS

Lining chemistry, film thickness, reinforcement and detailing are specified per the stored media, concentration, temperature and duty cycle. Potable-water linings are specified to the relevant approvals. POLYZEN confirms finished values and chemical suitability on the product TDS and does not publish fabricated figures.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is industrial tank lining?
It is the protective lining of the inside of tanks and vessels that hold liquids in constant contact. The interior is prepared and built up with a seamless, chemical-resistant, immersion-grade lining that contains the contents leak-free and protects the tank wall from chemical attack and corrosion. Because it is permanently immersed, it must be matched to the specific media stored.
How is a tank lining different from an external coating?
An external coating sits in air and dries out between exposures; a tank lining is permanently immersed in the very media it must resist. That makes immersion resistance, seamless continuity and chemical matching far more critical, and the lining is holiday-tested to prove it is leak-free before the tank is filled. POLYZEN specifies a true immersion-grade lining, not a general coating, for tank interiors.
Does the lining depend on what the tank stores?
Yes, completely. The right lining chemistry depends on the stored media, its concentration, temperature and duty cycle — an acid tank, an effluent tank and a potable-water tank each need a different lining. POLYZEN assesses the contents first and selects a lining proven resistant to them, confirmed on the product TDS.
What is a holiday test?
A holiday or spark test checks the finished lining for pinholes and discontinuities that the eye cannot see. Confirming a continuous, defect-free film is essential for an immersion lining, because a single pinhole becomes a leak and a corrosion point. POLYZEN holiday-tests linings before returning a tank to service.
Is industrial tank lining a POLYZEN Applied System?
Yes. It is delivered as a POLYZEN Applied System — surveyed, specified and applied turnkey by trained applicators, with the lining chemistry and film thickness selected per the stored media, temperature and duty, and verified by holiday testing.
Does POLYZEN provide a warranty?
Yes. Every lining is handed over after a holiday test, final inspection and a written system warranty, with terms confirmed per stored media, temperature and duty cycle.
