Quartz / Granule
FlooringHEAVY-DUTY · ANTI-SLIP · DECORATIVE

A double-broadcast floor of coloured quartz granules in epoxy — the most rugged decorative system POLYZEN builds. Thick, impact-resistant and naturally anti-slip, it combines a hard-wearing industrial body with a clean, coloured aggregate finish.

OVERVIEW

What is Quartz / Granule Flooring?

Quartz or granule flooring is a heavy-duty decorative system built by broadcasting coloured quartz aggregate into epoxy — usually in two passes — to create a thick, dense, textured floor. It pairs a rugged, impact- and abrasion-resistant body with an attractive speckled-aggregate finish and excellent natural slip resistance. Where flake flooring is decorative-first, quartz flooring is built for environments that need both looks and serious mechanical and hygienic performance.

THE POLYZEN SYSTEM

How the System Is Built

A quartz floor is a broadcast-to-refusal system — dense aggregate locked in epoxy and sealed. Tap any layer to see its role.

Sealer / Grout Coats

Wear & Hygiene Seal

Clear or pigmented seal coats grout the quartz together and lock the surface — setting the final texture from lightly textured to aggressively anti-slip, and giving a cleanable, hygienic finish. System values: Per TDS.

SYSTEM PRODUCT

POLYZEN ZENDÉCOR Quartz (ZD-Q)

This floor is delivered using POLYZEN ZENDÉCOR Quartz (ZD-Q) — a coloured-quartz broadcast decorative epoxy system formulated and manufactured by POLYZEN for heavy-duty, anti-slip, decorative surfaces.

FINISH & PERFORMANCE

Built Tough, Finished Clean

A quartz floor is specified where a decorative finish must also survive heavy traffic, impact and wet conditions. POLYZEN tests against recognised methods; product-specific results are confirmed in the TDS.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is quartz / granule flooring?
It is a heavy-duty decorative floor made by broadcasting coloured quartz granules into epoxy, usually in two passes, then sealing. The result is a thick, textured, impact-resistant floor with a coloured aggregate finish and excellent slip resistance.
How is quartz flooring different from flake flooring?
Flake flooring is decorative-first with thin vinyl flakes. Quartz flooring uses dense mineral granules built up much thicker, so it is far tougher and more slip-resistant — suited to commercial kitchens, wet areas and heavy traffic where both looks and durability matter.
Is quartz flooring good for wet and slippery areas?
Yes. The aggregate creates a naturally textured, anti-slip surface, and the level of grip can be tuned through the seal coats — from a lightly textured decorative finish to an aggressive anti-slip profile for wet process areas.
Which POLYZEN product is used?
Quartz floors are delivered using ZENDÉCOR Quartz (ZD-Q), POLYZEN's coloured-quartz broadcast system. The colour blend, texture and seal coats are confirmed during survey based on the area, traffic and slip requirement.
Can it be made hygienic for food areas?
Yes. Quartz systems can be installed with integral coving and a sealed, cleanable finish, making them suitable for commercial kitchens and food and beverage areas that need both slip resistance and hygiene.
Does POLYZEN provide a warranty?
Yes. Every installation is handed over with a final inspection and a written system warranty, with terms confirmed per project scope and substrate condition.
