OVERVIEW

What is Pharma-Grade Flooring?

Pharma-grade flooring is a seamless, cleanroom-ready resin system built for pharmaceutical and life-science facilities. It combines a non-absorbent, antimicrobial-grade surface with integral coved skirting and crevice-free detailing to eliminate contamination traps — supporting cleanroom classification, validation and the rigorous wash-down and sanitisation regimes these environments demand.

How the System Is Built

A pharma-grade floor is an engineered stack — every layer has a job. Tap any layer to see its role.

Antimicrobial Hygienic Seal

Cleanroom Finish + Coving

A hygienic, antimicrobial-grade seal closes the floor into a smooth, non-absorbent, sanitisable surface, carried up the wall as integral coving to remove every floor-wall crevice. Finish and slip rating are specified to the cleanroom class. System values: Per TDS.

SYSTEM PRODUCTS

POLYZEN ZENPU Level (ZP-200) + ZENFLOR Sovereign (ZF-500)

This floor is delivered using POLYZEN ZENPU Level (ZP-200) for steam-clean and thermal-shock cleanrooms, or ZENFLOR Sovereign (ZF-500) where chemical and abrasion duty leads — both formulated and manufactured by POLYZEN.

COMPLIANCE REFERENCE

Built for Cleanroom Compliance

A pharma-grade floor is specified to support the hygiene, cleanroom-classification and validation requirements of pharmaceutical manufacturing. POLYZEN builds the floor to these references; facility certification remains the client's own.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is pharma-grade flooring?
It is a seamless, cleanroom-ready resin floor for pharmaceutical and life-science facilities. It combines a non-absorbent, antimicrobial-grade surface with integral coved skirting to remove contamination traps and support cleanroom classification and validation.
Should pharma flooring be epoxy or PU?
It depends on the area. PU (ZENPU Level) is preferred where steam cleaning and thermal shock dominate, as it handles temperature swings well. Epoxy (ZENFLOR Sovereign) is specified where chemical and abrasion resistance leads. POLYZEN selects the right system per cleanroom.
Does pharma-grade flooring meet WHO-GMP and Schedule M?
The floor is engineered to support WHO-GMP, Schedule M and ISO 14644 cleanroom requirements through its seamless, antimicrobial, coved detailing. It supports a facility's compliance but does not itself replace the facility's own validation or certification.
Why is coving essential in pharma flooring?
Integral coving removes the 90-degree floor-wall crevice where contaminants collect, creating a continuous, wipe-clean junction. It is a core requirement of cleanroom and sterile-area hygiene.
What surface does it need?
A sound concrete substrate, mechanically prepared by diamond grinding or shot-blasting, with verified moisture and strength. POLYZEN surveys and prepares the substrate as part of the turnkey installation.
Does POLYZEN provide a warranty?
Yes. Every installation is handed over with a final inspection and a written system warranty, with terms confirmed per project scope, cleanroom requirement and substrate condition.
