Chemical Resistant
Epoxy FlooringNOVOLAC PROTECTION SYSTEM
A dense, impervious epoxy system built to withstand aggressive acids, alkalis and solvents — a seamless chemical barrier that protects floors in the harshest processing environments.
What is Chemical Resistant Epoxy Flooring?
Chemical resistant epoxy flooring is a dense, impervious resin system engineered to withstand aggressive acids, alkalis, solvents and other corrosive media. Built around a high-chemical-duty novolac topcoat over a sealed epoxy body, it forms a seamless, non-absorbent barrier that protects the concrete substrate in processing, laboratory and manufacturing environments where chemical spillage is routine.
How the System Is Built
A chemical resistant epoxy floor is an engineered stack — every layer has a job. Tap any layer to see its role.
Novolac / Chemical-Resistant Topcoat
A high-chemical-duty novolac epoxy topcoat seals the system into an impervious barrier engineered to resist aggressive acids, alkalis and solvents. The grade is matched to the specific chemical exposure of the facility. System values: Per TDS.
POLYZEN ZENFLOR Sovereign (ZF-500/600)
This floor is delivered using POLYZEN ZENFLOR Sovereign (ZF-500/600) — a chemical-resistant novolac epoxy system, formulated and manufactured by POLYZEN.
Engineered Performance
A chemical resistant epoxy floor is specified to the exact media it must withstand — acid, alkali, solvent or mixed exposure. POLYZEN tests against recognised methods; product-specific resistance is confirmed in the TDS.
Chemical resistance is matched to the facility's specific exposure. Tested values for the ZENFLOR Sovereign (ZF-500/600) system are confirmed in the product TDS. POLYZEN does not publish fabricated specification figures.
The Application Process
Inspect & Assess
Substrate survey, moisture testing and review of the chemicals and spillage the floor will face.
Design & Specify
Novolac grade, build thickness, coving and slip rating specified to the chemical exposure.
Prepare & Apply
Diamond grind / shot-blast → chemical-resistant primer → epoxy body → novolac topcoat.
Cure & Handover
Controlled cure, final inspection, finish/seal checks and written warranty.
