Flake Epoxy
FlooringTEXTURED · SPECKLED · HARD-WEARING
A decorative epoxy floor broadcast with coloured vinyl flakes — a speckled, terrazzo-like finish that hides scuffs and dust, adds subtle slip texture, and seals into one of the toughest, most practical decorative systems available.
What is Flake Epoxy Flooring?
Flake epoxy flooring — also called chip or flake-broadcast flooring — is a decorative system where coloured vinyl flakes are scattered into a wet epoxy base coat, then sealed under clear coats. The result is a speckled, terrazzo-like surface available in countless colour blends. Beyond the looks, the flakes add a subtle slip texture and visually disguise dust, scuffs and minor wear — making it one of the most practical decorative floors for busy spaces.
How the System Is Built
A flake epoxy floor is a broadcast system — flakes are locked between a base coat and clear seal coats. Tap any layer to see its role.
Clear Seal Coats
One or more clear coats are applied over the flakes and sanded between coats, fully encapsulating them into a smooth, durable wear surface. Gloss or satin sheen, with an optional anti-skid additive. System values: Per TDS.
POLYZEN ZENDÉCOR Fleck (ZD-F)
This floor is delivered using POLYZEN ZENDÉCOR Fleck (ZD-F) — a flake-broadcast decorative epoxy system formulated and manufactured by POLYZEN for tough, speckled, multi-colour surfaces.
Good Looks That Work Hard
A flake epoxy floor balances appearance with everyday practicality — decorative, but built for real traffic and easy upkeep. POLYZEN tests against recognised methods; product-specific results are confirmed in the TDS.
Flake coverage (full broadcast vs. light scatter) and blend are chosen to your space and affect both look and texture. Tested performance values are confirmed in the product TDS; POLYZEN does not publish fabricated specification figures.
