Roof
Heat ProofingREFLECT · INSULATE · COOL
A cool-roof, heat-reflective coating system that bounces solar radiation off the roof instead of letting it soak in — dropping surface temperature, keeping the top floor cooler and cutting cooling load, while sealing the roof against water in the same application.
What is Roof Heat Proofing?
Roof heat proofing is a cool-roof system that tackles heat, not just water. A dark concrete roof absorbs intense solar radiation through the day, drives surface temperature far above ambient, and radiates that heat down into the top floor — pushing up indoor temperatures and air-conditioning bills. A heat-reflective coating, often combined with an insulation layer, reverses that: it reflects a large share of solar radiation back to the sky and resists heat transfer into the slab, so the roof surface and the space below stay markedly cooler. Because the same coat also seals the roof, POLYZEN delivers thermal comfort and waterproofing in one applied system — ideal for top-floor homes, factory sheds and warehouses where summer heat and energy cost are real problems.
How the System Is Built
A heat-proofing roof is sealed against water first, then built up to reflect and resist heat. Tap any layer to see its role.
Heat-Reflective Top Coat
A highly reflective, light-coloured cool-roof top coat is applied as the weather face. It bounces a large share of solar radiation back to the sky, sharply lowering the roof's surface temperature in peak sun. System values: Per TDS.
Engineered & Installed by POLYZEN
Roof heat proofing is delivered as a POLYZEN Applied System — surveyed, designed and installed turnkey by POLYZEN's trained applicators, with reflective coating, insulation and waterproofing specified to your roof, climate and how the space below is used.
Reflect the Heat, Cool the Building
Most of a building's summer heat gain comes through the roof. By reflecting solar radiation before it is absorbed and resisting what little gets through, a cool-roof system lowers surface and indoor temperatures and eases the load on air-conditioning — and because the same coat waterproofs, the roof stays dry too. Performance is confirmed on the project specification.
Reflective coating, insulation and waterproofing build-up are specified per roof, climate and use. POLYZEN confirms finished values and any reflectance figures on the project specification and does not publish fabricated figures.
The Application Process
Inspect & Assess
Assess the roof, sun exposure, existing leaks and how the space below is used and cooled.
Prepare & Prime
Clean the roof, remove failed coatings, repair cracks and ponding, correct falls, then prime.
Seal & Build
Waterproof membrane, optional insulation layer, then the heat-reflective cool-roof top coat.
Cure & Handover
Controlled cure, final inspection, finish check and written warranty.
