Anti-Corrosive
CoatingSTEEL PROTECTION · BARRIER · LONG-LIFE
A protective coating system for steel and metal structures that stops corrosion at the source. Rust and mill scale are removed by abrasive blasting, an anti-corrosive primer is applied, and a high-build barrier coat plus topcoat lock out the oxygen and moisture that drive rust — extending the service life of exposed steelwork.
What is Anti-Corrosive Coating?
Anti-corrosive coating is a protective paint system that shields steel and metal structures from rust. Corrosion happens when oxygen and moisture reach bare steel, so the system works as a barrier: existing rust and mill scale are removed by abrasive blasting to a clean profile, an anti-corrosive primer is applied to passivate the surface, and high-build barrier coats with a durable topcoat seal the steel away from the atmosphere. The result is a long-life protective film that dramatically extends the service life of exposed structural steelwork. It is delivered as a POLYZEN Applied System.
How the System Is Built
Corrosion protection is built coat-on-coat over clean steel — blast, prime, build, seal — so oxygen and moisture never reach the metal. Tap any layer to see its role.
Protective Topcoat
A durable finish topcoat seals the system and adds resistance to weather, UV and chemical exposure, giving the colour and the long-life protective face of the coating. System values: Per TDS.
Delivered as a POLYZEN Applied System
This protection is delivered as a POLYZEN Applied System — surveyed, specified and applied turnkey by trained applicators using abrasive blasting, anti-corrosive primers and high-build barrier coatings. The coating system and film thickness are selected per steel type, environment and corrosivity.
Stop Rust Before It Starts
Steel rusts when oxygen and moisture reach bare metal — and once it starts, it spreads under any coating that was applied over a dirty surface. POLYZEN's method is built on preparation: blast the steel clean to a defined profile, passivate it with an anti-corrosive primer, then build a barrier thick enough to keep the atmosphere out. Surface prep and film thickness are specified to the environment. Performance is confirmed on the product TDS.
Surface cleanliness, coating type and dry film thickness are specified to the steel and environment corrosivity. Immersed or chemically exposed steel may need a tank-lining or chemical-resistant system instead. POLYZEN confirms finished values on the product TDS and does not publish fabricated figures.
The Application Process
Inspect & Specify
Assess steel condition and environment corrosivity, then specify the coating system and film thickness.
Blast & Clean
Remove rust, mill scale and old coatings by abrasive blasting to the specified cleanliness and profile.
Prime & Build
Apply the anti-corrosive primer, then the high-build barrier coats to the specified thickness.
Topcoat & Handover
Apply the protective topcoat, check film thickness, final inspection and written warranty.
