OVERVIEW

What is PU Self-Leveling Flooring?

PU self-leveling flooring is a seamless polyurethane resin floor poured to a smooth, level, joint-free surface. Unlike standard epoxy, its polyurethane chemistry tolerates thermal shock, hot water wash-downs and steam cleaning, making it ideal for food and beverage, dairy, cold storage and other temperature-cycling environments that need a hygienic, easy-clean floor.

PU Seal Coat

Optional Hygienic Finish

An optional polyurethane seal can be applied over the body coat to reinforce chemical and abrasion resistance and deliver an easy-clean, low-maintenance surface. Gloss level and slip rating are specified to suit the environment. System values: Per TDS.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is PU self-leveling flooring?
It is a seamless polyurethane resin floor poured in a flowable state that self-smooths into a level, joint-free surface. Its polyurethane chemistry tolerates thermal shock, hot wash-downs and steam cleaning, which standard epoxy floors cannot.
How is PU flooring different from epoxy flooring?
PU (polyurethane) flooring handles thermal shock, hot water and steam cleaning far better than epoxy, and copes with temperature-cycling environments such as cold storage and hot kitchens. Epoxy is harder and ideal for dry, stable areas; PU is the choice where heat, moisture and wash-downs are constant.
Can PU self-leveling flooring handle steam and hot wash-downs?
Yes. This is its core advantage — the polyurethane matrix withstands hot water, steam cleaning and rapid temperature changes, making it suited to food, beverage and dairy processing floors.
What surface does it need?
A sound concrete substrate, mechanically prepared by diamond grinding or shot-blasting, with verified moisture and strength. POLYZEN surveys and prepares the substrate as part of the turnkey installation.
Where is PU self-leveling flooring used?
It suits food and beverage, dairy, cold storage, pharmaceutical and life sciences, commercial kitchens and beverage processing — anywhere needing a seamless, hygienic floor that resists heat and wash-downs.
Does POLYZEN provide a warranty?
Yes. Every installation is handed over with a final inspection and a written system warranty, with terms confirmed per project scope and substrate condition.
