Swimming Pool
WaterproofingSUBMERGED · FLEXIBLE · TILE-READY
A high-build, permanently-submersible membrane system for pools and water features — a flexible, crack-bridging, chemical-resistant barrier reinforced at every joint, engineered to hold treated water under constant pressure and bond the finishing tile or pebble on top.
What is Swimming Pool Waterproofing?
Swimming pool waterproofing is a high-build, permanently-submersible membrane system applied to the pool shell before the tile or pebble finish, so the concrete behind it stays watertight under non-stop water load. A pool is the most demanding waterproofing job there is — the structure is permanently submerged, holds treated water with chlorine and changing chemistry, and flexes as it is filled and emptied. POLYZEN seals every wall-to-floor fillet, inlet and joint with reinforcement, then builds a flexible, crack-bridging membrane that resists hydrostatic pressure from inside, withstands pool-water chemistry, and provides a sound bonding base for the finishing tiles.
How the System Is Built
A pool shell is reinforced at every joint, then membraned to hold water permanently before the tile finish. Tap any layer to see its role.
Tile-Ready Bonding Surface
The cured membrane provides a sound, bondable surface that accepts the pool tile, mosaic or pebble finish directly, so the decorative finish is laid over a fully sealed shell. System values: Per TDS.
Engineered & Installed by POLYZEN
Swimming pool waterproofing is delivered as a POLYZEN Applied System — surveyed, designed and installed turnkey by POLYZEN's trained applicators, with membrane, reinforcement and joint detailing specified to your pool's structure and water load.
Built for Permanent Water
A pool never gets a break — the membrane is under water and pressure every hour of the year, exposed to chlorine and changing chemistry, and worked by the shell flexing as the pool fills and drains. POLYZEN's system is specified for exactly that load. Performance is confirmed on the project specification.
Membrane system, number of coats, reinforcement and joint detailing are specified per pool structure, depth and water treatment. POLYZEN confirms finished values on the project specification and does not publish fabricated figures.
The Application Process
Inspect & Leak-Test
Assess the empty shell, structural condition, inlets and joints; leak-test to find defects before sealing.
Repair & Reinforce
Repair honeycombing and tie-holes, form fillets, prime, then reinforce all joints, inlets and lights.
Membrane & Cure
High-build flexible membrane in multiple coats to full thickness across the shell, then controlled cure.
Flood-Test & Handover
Fill / flood test for watertightness, then tile-ready handover with final inspection and written warranty.
