OVERVIEW

What is Epoxy Mortar Flooring?

Epoxy mortar flooring is a high-build, trowel-applied resin floor in which epoxy is blended with graded aggregate to form a dense, exceptionally hard screed. It delivers the highest mechanical strength in the epoxy family — resisting heavy impact, point loading and severe abrasion — making it the system of choice for heavy manufacturing, processing and high-traffic industrial floors.

Epoxy Seal Coat

Sealed Easy-Clean Finish

A pigmented epoxy seal coat closes the surface of the mortar, sealing its texture into a dense, hygienic and easy-clean finish while lifting chemical resistance. Gloss level and slip rating are specified to the environment. System values: Per TDS.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is epoxy mortar flooring?
It is a high-build, trowel-applied resin floor where epoxy is blended with graded aggregate to form a dense, exceptionally hard screed. It offers the highest mechanical strength in the epoxy family, resisting heavy impact, point loads and severe abrasion.
How is epoxy mortar different from self-leveling epoxy?
Self-leveling epoxy is poured to a smooth, thin, level finish for general industrial and commercial use. Epoxy mortar is a thicker, trowel-applied, aggregate-filled screed built for the heaviest impact and abrasion. Mortar is the high-duty option.
How thick is an epoxy mortar floor?
Epoxy mortar is a high-build system, considerably thicker than a coating or self-leveling floor. The exact thickness for the ZENFLOR Sovereign (ZF-500) system is specified to the loading and confirmed in the product TDS.
What surface does it need?
A sound concrete substrate, mechanically prepared by diamond grinding or shot-blasting, with verified moisture and strength. POLYZEN surveys and prepares the substrate as part of the turnkey installation.
Where is epoxy mortar flooring used?
It suits heavy manufacturing, warehousing, automotive, food and beverage, chemical processing and engineering workshops — anywhere subject to heavy impact, point loading or severe abrasion.
Does POLYZEN provide a warranty?
Yes. Every installation is handed over with a final inspection and a written system warranty, with terms confirmed per project scope and substrate condition.
