What is Podium Slab Waterproofing?
Podium slab waterproofing is a heavy-duty, buried membrane system for decks that sit over occupied space — landscaped podiums, paved courtyards, driveways and rooftop gardens above parking, lobbies or apartments. Unlike an exposed terrace, the membrane here disappears under layers of paving, soil, planters or traffic, so it can never be inspected or repaired easily once the deck is built. That makes the first installation critical. POLYZEN builds a high-performance PU or PMMA membrane over the primed structural slab, then shields it with a protection board and a drainage layer that carry the load above and route water away — keeping the costly, occupied space below permanently dry for the life of the structure.

Drainage Layer + Finish Build-Up

The Application Process
Inspect & Assess
Assess the slab, falls, drains and movement joints, and confirm the finish and loads the deck must carry.
Prepare & Prime
Clean to sound concrete, repair defects, correct falls to outlets, form fillets at upstands, then prime.
Membrane & Test
High-build PU / PMMA membrane reinforced at junctions, then a flood / ponding test before burial.
Protect & Handover
Protection board, drainage layer and finish build-up, final inspection and written warranty.
